What happens to texts when do not disturb is on?

When Do Not Disturb mode is turned on, incoming text messages will still be received on your device, but you will not receive any notification alerts for them. The messages will not make any sound or vibrate your device, and they will not appear on your lock screen or in the Notification Center. However, you can still view the messages by opening the Messages app.

You can still place and receive phone calls, but you will not hear any ringtones or vibration alerts and the calls will not appear on your lock screen.

It’s worth noting that if you set a “Repeated Calls” feature, the second call from the same number within three minutes will get through the Do Not Disturb mode.

You should also know that some apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.. you can set a “favorite contact” feature, it will allow those contacts to reach you even when Do Not Disturb mode is on.
