How to tell if your computer is 32 or 64 bit windows 10?

Here are a few ways to determine if your computer is running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 10:

1. Check System Properties: Press the Windows key + Pause Break key on your keyboard, This will open the System Properties dialog box. Look under the “System type” section to see if it says “32-bit operating system” or “64-bit operating system”.

2. Check the Control Panel: Open the Control Panel and click on System and Security. Click on System. Under the “System” section, you’ll see the System type.

3. Check the Task Manager: Press the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys on your keyboard to open the Task Manager. Go to the “Performance” tab and look under the “System” section to see the System type.

4. Check PowerShell: Press the Windows + X keys on your keyboard, then select PowerShell (Admin). In the PowerShell prompt, type in “systeminfo” without the quotes and press enter. Look for the “System type” to see if it says “32-bit operating system” or “64-bit operating system”.

5. Check the Registry: Press the Windows + R keys on your keyboard and type “regedit” and press Enter. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System. Look for the “SystemBits” value and if it is “32-bit operating system” or “64-bit operating system”.

It’s worth noting that, the maximum amount of memory that a 32-bit version of Windows can support is 4 GB, while a 64-bit version can support more than that. Also, a 64-bit version of Windows can run 32-bit software, but a 32-bit version of Windows cannot run 64-bit software.
